The pain begins
Devlog 1 - The pain begins
Yay first devlog! So the game is… coming along. We don’t have a lot, but we are working on planetary gravity and soon procedural generation. So lets go through that
1 - Oh no what did I get myself into
A lot actually, so let me show you:
The first planet generation system was very VERY basic and for testing only. here was what the moon looked like:
Not exactly appealing, but it worked. Once my tiny brain wrapped around this, I scrapped it seeing that it was terrible and starting working on something else. Me and my friend started working on new planetary gravity, with realistic calculations… This, was a terrible mistake.
The countless bugs that still currently remain unresolved I cannot TELL YOU how insane, here is one clip of gravity deciding to send me off the plane in which space and time exist and I watch the universe collapse:
yeah that ain’t right.
So we (Somewhat) fixed that and now the player spins at Mach 10..
I still have no idea why.
Then this happened:
yeah you see that “Infinity” in the console? That is the players velocity.
Oh and this number which I can’t pronounce showing the players position:
After that I said “Nope I need a break” and here we are.

2 - READ PLEASE
I have (Finally) decided on how the version numbers will work.
So
We are in the Internal Build stage, where we can’t even call it Pre-Alpha. The current version I am working on is 0.0.0.0.9 …. I’ll name it something elegant later I know its way too many decimal points okay?
Here’s how it will work:
-
0.0.0.1 – Pre-Alpha: Technically playable, but nowhere near finished.
-
0.0.1 – Alpha: Playable, some features still in development, bugs everywhere.
-
0.1 – Beta: Most things are implemented, but it still needs polish.
-
1.0 – Release.
We’ve got a while to go.
